Every year during the holidays, the Ritz-Carlton here builds a huge gingerbread house that becomes quite an attraction for tourists and residents alike.
The whole thing really is made out of food items. 1200 gingerbread shingles, 464 eggs, 631 pounds of sugar . . . Incredible! Some views from the front, featuring some random children, for scale:

The sign in front says that 60,000 pieces of candy were used.
Oh! I have GOT to get a candy mailbox like this one!
They didn’t leave out any details – check out the window with a Christmas tree inside:

The signs says it took about 1,000 labor hours to create this. I’d say it was well worth it!
My only question is When can I move in?
