By 10:00 a.m. this morning, I had finished my work and declared the rest of today an Official Day Off. (As opposed to an unofficial day off, in which work might spontaneously spring up.)
Since the temperatures here in Southwest Florida dropped to a frigid 59 degrees overnight, I dared not step outside lest I become frostbitten. This was a good day to bundle up and stay indoors.
There were still 2 unfinished Project Linus blankets and some flannel fabric sitting in my sewing room, so I finished the 2 and made a third one.
That pink one was so very pink that it just about gave me cavities. I was glad to move on to the blue one.
Then I put the edging on a lap blanket I had made for my church’s charity sewing group. It has been awhile since I crocheted anything, and I didn’t really use a pattern for this one, but it turned out pretty decent:
I like the soft, light blue color of that Bernat Softee Baby yarn. And I like the way they spell “softee”.
It did occur to me to do some baking, but Practicality took over and I made some chicken and rice instead. But the day’s not over yet . . . .

Yay for days off! Even though it is “freezing”.
